Launching Online Customs Supervision Department

 

Mr. Nguyen Van Can, Deputy Director General and representatives of Standing Office of the 389 National Steering Committee; Departments and organizations under General Department of Customs; Ho Chi Minh, Ha Noi and Hai Phong City Customs Departments have attended the ceremony.

 

Mr. Nguyen Phi Hung, head of Anti-Smuggling and Investigation Department, presented flowers to congratulate officials of Online Customs Supervision Department.

 

Under deployment effort of all Online Customs Supervision Department (OCSD) officials from the beginning of 2015, on Aug. 17th, 2015, Ministry of Finance promulgated Decision No.1658/QD-BTC on the establishment of Online Customs Supervision Department.

 

OCSD has functions of connecting, integrating all monitoring equipment system of customs to provide information, data, online images to the General Department of Customs. These functions will create an effective monitoring channel among all Customs Branches and Departments in Customs sector on implementation of procedures, operations at customs areas; ensure the execution of all regulations publicly and transparently.
 

Furthermore, OCSD also improves internal monitoring and protecting system, as well as raises responsibility of the customs officials in the implementation of customs procedure, prevention negative manifestation of harassment of officials.
